bet365 4.5 betHQ, 2017-10-19

bet365 is one of the leading online bookmakers globally, with more than 10 million customers in 200 countries. It’s known for its unparalleled range of football markets, live play markets, free live streaming and excellent promotions. However, it has a rather busy Flash-based web site and its odds for horse racing and other sports aren’t always as competitive as those it offers for football. Here we consider bet365’s strengths and weaknesses in more detail.

bet365 trust & financial stability
5

bet365 is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and is a member of the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS), which adjudicates in the event of betting disputes with customers. Unlike most other leading UK bookmakers, bet365 is registered in the UK – so it’s subject to UK law and pays UK taxes.

As a company, bet365 is well managed and financially secure. Billions are wagered annually on the company’s site, and for the year ending in March 2014, bet365 reported operating profits of £320.9 million – up significantly on the previous year's profits of £179 million, which themselves were up by a third. A stable company with such a powerful global brand is unlikely to compromise its reputation by refusing to pay you out your winnings.

bet365 odds
4

bet365’s odds for football betting are consistently among the best available. In fact, its football odds typically provide between 23% and 35% better value than the market average.

The bookmaker’s odds for horse racing and other sports also often provide good value, but bet365 isn’t a leader in terms of the best odds for these markets.

bet365 specials & promotions
4.5

Bet365 always offers a host of betting specials for football, racing, basketball, rugby and US sports. These are covered in full on our bet365 specials page. The company also regularly rewards customers with loyalty offers.

bet365 website review

The bet365 site displays a lot of information on each page, which can be overwhelming. At first glance, it seems that the site developers took their design inspiration (and colour scheme) from the flight boards at Heathrow airport! Nonetheless, markets are clearly organized by popularity and when they’re due to happen, so it’s fairly easy to find what you’re looking for.

The bet365 site is based on Adobe Flash, which is rather outdated. The result is that some standard browser controls, like back buttons and zooming, aren’t supported. However, advantages are that the site makes full use of the available screen size and of the high levels of interactivity supported by Flash. Apparently the site is due to be upgraded soon.

Added services

Live betting

bet365 offers great live betting, especially in football, with an easy to use interface that includes scoreboard information and, when available, live streaming. There are plenty of markets to choose from. It’s even easy to keep track of different events simultaneously. The desktop version allows you to see both the live action and betting markets and odds, while the mobile versions allow for easy switching between these views.

“One wallet system”

As well as sports betting, bet365 includes good-quality casino, games, poker and bingo rooms. Its “one wallet system” means that you need only a single account to participate in all sports betting and games.

bet365 customer service
4.5

The bet365 customer service team is available 24 hours a day via live chat, e-mail and telephone. We’ve found members of the team to be courteous and helpful, although the live chat respondents are sometimes slow.

bet365 supports a very wide range of options for making payments and withdrawals. Depending on your location, these include credit card, NETELLER, Skrill, PayPal, Insta Debit, Click2Pay, Ukash, Entropay, Bank Wire, FastBank and, in the UK, even cheques. The time that deposits and withdrawals take depends on the method you use, but generally transactions are quick and efficient. Some deposits reflect instantly. Deposits using NETELLER make take only an hour. Deposits take up to 24 hours if you use Skrill or PayPal, and one to three days if you use a debit or credit card.

The bottom line

bet365 is a superb bookmaker that offers one of the best all-round betting experiences. It excels in football betting in particular.
