About the Kincsem Handicap
The Kincsem Handicap is one of the richest handicap races run at Glorious Goodwood. The race is named after the legendary mare Kincsem, who was undefeated in her 54 race career. Her connection with Glorious Goodwood was forfed back in 1878, when she won that year’s Goodwood Cup.
Kincsem Handicap Betting
The Kincsem Handicap is something less of a lottery than other handicaps at Glorious Goodwood, with the markets doing a reasonably good job of narrowing down the core of runners with realistic prospects of winning the race. The majority of race winners will be priced between 4/1 and 10/1, with the favourites rarely priced under the 4/1 margin. Given the value that these horses provide there is little incentive to look for value amongst longer odds entries.
