About the Nassau Stakes
Established in 1840, the Nassau Stakes was originally run as an event for 3-year-old fillies over a mile. This was bumped up to 1 mile 4 furlongs before being reduced to its current length in 1911. The Nassau Stakes was promoted to Group 1 status in 1999 and has been won by some of the finest middle distance fillies and mares in European racing history.
Nassau Stakes Betting
The Nassau Stakes tends to produce favourites at very short odds, and it is not unusual for the favourite to trade under Evens. However, the record of favourites in this race is not particularly compelling, and you’re better off looking at strong candidates priced under 10/1 but within range of a profitable each-way bet if they place.
