About the Standard Open NH Flat Race
Introduced in 1987, the Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race received Grade 2 classification in 1995. John Smith’s sponsored the event from 2005 to 2013, with Weatherbys Racing Bank taking over the sponsorship in 2014. The race occasionally features horses that have previously competed in the Champion Bumper.
