Ginny’s Destiny will start the 2024 Turners Novices Chase as the favourite following three consecutive wins, all achieved at Cheltenham, with the last two won on the new course.
Trading at under 4/1, the favourite doesn’t much offer value compared to Grey Dawning. This entry is trading above 4/1 after a Grade 2 win at Warwick last time out.
Iroko, who placed in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices Chase at Aintree last year, is available at around the same price, and also stakes a solid claim following a comeback victory achieved over 2 miles 4 furlongs at Warwick in November.

The Turner Novices Chase is the UK’s premier novices steeplechase over 2 mile 4 furlongs. One of the more recent additions to the Cheltenham Festival, it has nevertheless produced a couple of impressive steeplechasers, including Irish champion chaser, Sir Des Champs, and Ryanair Chase winner, Vautour.
Highly rated racehorses with good recent form (a win last time out is virtually essential) are the best picks for the Turner Novices’ Chase.
