#AD (18+) – betTOM is one of the newer names on the UK betting scene, and its welcome deal works differently from the usual “bet £X, get £Y” type of offers. It doesn’t hand you a fixed free bet up front. Instead, it acts as a first-day safety net: if your opening day on the sportsbook ends in the red, betTOM gives half of those losses back as a free bet, up to £25.
Below you’ll find how it works, what counts towards it, and the few conditions that are easy to miss.
1. REGISTER
Open a new betTOM account with your name, address and date of birth, then make a first deposit of at least £10. You don’t need a bonus code, so leave that field blank if it appears.
2. BET
On the same day, place at least three bets of £10 or more on separate events, each at odds of evens (2.0) or greater. Only sportsbook bets count, and casino play doesn’t contribute.
3. GET
If your settled stakes minus returns come to a net loss of £10 or more by 23:59, betTOM refunds 50% of that loss as a free bet, capped at £25.
betTOM works out your loss as all settled stakes minus all returns before midnight on day one. Two points follow from that. Your “day one” starts from your first deposit, not from when you registered. And only bets that settle before 23:59 count, so a Saturday-night accumulator that finishes on Sunday won’t count towards the refund.
Say you place three £10 singles at evens or better and all three lose. That’s a £30 net loss, so you’d receive a £15 free bet. If one of those bets had won at 2.0 and returned £20, your net loss would be £10, giving you a £5 free bet. To reach the full £25, your net loss would need to hit £50. The refund exists to soften a bad first day, so there’s no need to stake more than you planned just to reach the cap.
The free bet is credited within 24 hours of your first day ending, so it is usually in your account the next morning. There is no wagering requirement on it. Keep in mind that the free bet stake isn’t included in any winnings it produces.
The whole offer runs on a short timeline:
betTOM’s welcome offer is modest in size, but a few regular features give it more value for racing fans especially after the first day:
No. The betTOM sign up offer applies automatically once you meet the qualifying conditions, so you don’t need to enter a code when you register or make your first deposit.
You get 50% of your net first-day sportsbook losses back as a free bet, up to a maximum of £25. For example, a £20 net loss earns a £10 free bet. You need to lose at least £10 net to qualify and are covered for losses totalling a maximum of £50.
You need at least three bets of £10 or more on separate events, each at odds of evens (2.0) or bigger. The bets must be placed on the sportsbook and must settle before 23:59 on your first day.
The free bet arrives within 24 hours and expires after 7 days. It must be used in its entirety on a single bet, and the stake isn’t returned with any winnings.
No. The sportsbook free bet has no wagering requirement.
The two offers are run separately, and each counts only activity within its own product. Check the current terms on betTOM’s promotions page before you start, because the rules on combining offers can change.
