How William Hill Lengthen Your Odds works

William Hill’s Lengthen Your Odds is not a betting special, but rather a special horse racing market that applies to UK racing.

When you select the market you will get a list of horses competing in the race, along with options to back your select winning the race. Odds are offered on each horse winning the race by:

1 length
2 lengths
3 lengths
4 lengths
5 lengths

The bigger the margin of victory you predict, the higher the odds on offer. Picking your horse to win by 5 lengths will offer a payout several times higher than backing your horse in the straight win market.

When betting on the William Hill Lengthen Your Odds market bear in mind that this bet is effectively a ‘hidden’ accumulator bet, combining two separate bets – winner and winning margin – into one bet.

1. Rules/Terms

Lengthen Your Odds is available on UK horse racing from 10am on the day of the race.
Lengthen Your Odds markets are singles only markets. Multiple bets will not be available.
In the event of non-runners, William Hill may remove the availability of a Lengthen Your Odds markets.
Rule 4’s will apply to all Lengthen Your Odds markets in the event of non-runners.
Your bet is a winner if the horse wins by over the distance stated.
The market is settled on the official result.
William Hill reserves the right to remove the availably of any Lengthen Your Odds market.
Other concessions do not apply to this market

2. General restrictions

a. We expect you to be fair when you bet on these markets. We consider certain types of play to be unfair and to break these terms and conditions. These unfair types of play include the following.

Using ‘minimal risk wagering patterns’ (that is, a set pattern of bets or stakes that unfairly minimises risks).
Using more than one account in order to place additional bets on these markets.
Betting on these markets when they are not available in the country you live in.
Colluding with other customers (that is, plotting with others to gain an unfair advantage).
Using more than one account per person, per household or per IP address.

b. If you take part in any play that we consider to be unfair, we may cancel any bonuses or promotions applied to your account, reclaim any bonus you have received as part of any promotion we have cancelled, and either:

Settle bets at the correct odds, not the bonus or promotion odds;
void any free bets or bets funded by a bonus (that is, treat them as if they had never been placed); or
remove any winnings relating to any bonus.

3. General conditions

a. Regardless of anything else set out in these terms and conditions, you can withdraw funds from your main balance at any time, except where we must withhold the funds to meet our legal or regulatory obligations.

c. We can withhold or refuse to pay any winnings from a bet if funds you paid into your main balance (including any amounts you have already used) are cancelled or denied by any payment service (for example, your card provider).
