About the Chesham Stakes
The Chesham Stakes is a 7 furlong race for juveniles. The race carries a Listed rating and entries must have been sired by a horse that won over 1 mile 2 furlongs or more. As an early-season event for 2-year-olds the winner will usually take a step up in race quality later in the season and it’s not unusual for winners to go on to win at Group 1 level in Ireland or the UK later in the season.
Chesham Stakes Betting
The Chesham Stakes tends to produce favourites at relatively low odds, and the antepost favourite will often start the race at 2/1 or lower. Horses priced under Evens are genuine bankers with an outstanding strike rate, but where the odds are longer you’ll want to keep an eye out for the horse carrying the highest Topspeed rating.
