The Aintree Hurdle is a Grade 1 hurdles race open to horses aged four or older. Although run over a slightly longer distance than the Cheltenham Champion Hurdle, the race tends to feature a number of horses who also competed in that event.
2024 Aintree Hurdle preview
The Aintree Hurdle has produced two short odds frontrunners in Impaire Et Passe and Bob Olinger.
While both horses appear underpriced given their recent form, it is Bob Olinger who looks the better of the two given that he has two wins in Grade 2s over the race distance this season.
At 50/1 Mahon’s Glory is an interesting prospect, having won over 2 miles 5 furlongs on his last outing – albeit against a far lower quality field.

The Aintree Hurdle has been on the Aintree Festival card since 1989. While the race is slightly longer than the Cheltenham Festival’s Champion Hurdle, it tends to feature a number of entries that competed in that race earlier in the season.
