About the Mildmay Novices Chase
Launched in 1981, the Mildmay Novices Chase quickly became notable as its inaugural winners, Bregawn and Burrough Hill Lad, each subsequently clinched the Cheltenham Gold Cup. The race received an upgrade to Grade One in 2014.
Typically, the Mildmay Novices’ Chase includes horses that have previously competed in the RSA Insurance Novices’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
