About the Queen Anne Stakes

The Queen Anne Stakes is the premier Group 1 race for 4-year-old and above milers at the Royal Ascot meeting. The race tends to feature horses who performed well in the one mile Classics races the previous season, and has been claimed by some of the UK’s greatest racehorses, including Goldikova and Frankel. It is currently run as the opening race of the Royal Ascot.

Betting on the Queen Anne Stakes

There’s plenty of form data to work with when betting on the Queen Anne Stakes, as you’ll have some early season form to work with for many entries, as well as their performances over a mile the previous season. The betting markets do a fair job of picking out the best candidates, and if you find a horse priced near Evens in the Queen Anne Stakes antepost markets, it’s probably a banker.
