About the Duke of Cambridge Stakes

The Duke of Cambridge Stakes is a 1 mile race for 4-year-old and above fillies and mares run on the second day of Royal Ascot. The race was introduced as part of an initiative to increase the number of races available for fillies and mares and can attract top quality racehorses, with a number of winners also achieving wins in Group 1 races for 4-year-olds later in the season.

Betting on the Duke of Cambridge Stakes

There’s strong form data to work with when betting on the Duke of Cambridge Stakes. One thing to look out for is the antepost market under-pricing entries who achieved Group 1 wins as 3-year-olds. These horses have a tendency to be shown up in the race, so avoid hyped up entries that are trading at around Evens. That said the majority of winners tend to be priced under 4/1, so when placing win bets focus on the two to three top contenders in the race as these usually produce the winner.
